Jorge Collazo’s “Can We Talk?” limited release t-shirt shows 6 interactions between a few different characters, and while there are a lot of backs being turned, the characters are trying, and I generally assume they will work things out. What communications have you had lately that could have gone better?

Jorge Collazo is an artist and chef, originally from Cuba, who’s lived in Brooklyn for 11 years, and frequently journeys to Miami Beach.

I want to do this shirt to celebrate how prolific and brave Jorge has been with his art in the last couple years. It is inspiring and exciting to watch-the freedom and ease with which Jorge expresses himself, the simplicity and immediacy of his materials and gesture make it clear that Jorge HAS to do this to process his life and times, and to maintain balance enough to remain in service to his friends and community.

My part in this release is simply as a friend and producer. I am reimbursed only for the cost of actual manufacturing-anything else goes to the artist. We are pre-selling so as not to mis-order sizes.

Preorders will be open until 8pm Sunday, July 19th. Total turnaround to receive your shirt will be 5-6 weeks. The shirt will be screen printed and hand-painted to reflect the original drawings. Printed on Gildan or equivalent basic “natural” off-white t-shirt.
